iSuit: Now wear your fabric and technology, all at the same time!
Geetanjali Singh | Jun 12 2008

After your iPods, the next cool thing in stores is now the iSuit. Surprised? Yes, we may actually call it electronic clothing, for this classic black pinstripe suit is no ordinary evening menswear but an electronic wizard in disguise. This reminds me of Jackie Chan’s ‘Tuxedo’, however, this iSuit has a whole new story to reveal. This avant-garde Electronic Suit is a revolutionary piece of clothing from M&S which has a ’smart-fabric’ (developed by the British technology company Eleksen) control pad for your MP3 player sewn into the left lapel, that lets the wearer adjust the level of sound and also skip to his favorite tracks. The pad is attached to a cable that runs beneath the lining and plugs into the iPod and the lapels even have loops to hold the earphone wires. Available across nine stores it costs £149.

Reports regarding scientists working on TV screen technology using materials so thin and flexible that they can be worn like clothes to display moving images, changing colours or designs to match the mood of the wearer, have also flashed recently. We have earlier talked about anti-slouch shirts and now this kind of wearable technology is indeed a revolutionary thing to happen. I think this iSuit would best work with your loved one, alone on a beach or pool side. What say?
